Horizon Forbidden West is an open world action role-playing game developed by Guerrilla and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel to the first installment of the Horizon series, Horizon Zero Dawn.

The player takes on the role of Aloy, a young woman of unknown origin who lives a primitive life in a post-apocalyptic world. Together with allies like Varl and Erend, she journeys across the hostile uncharted lands of the Forbidden West, facing dangerous enemies and deadly machines to try and prevent the extinction of mankind.

Hugely popular as a character, Aloy has also appeared in several other game titles such as Fortnite, Genshin Impact, Fall Guys, and Monster Hunter: World.
