SuperGroupies is releasing a number of fashion items with Mononoke.

Mononoke is an original animated TV series by Toei Entertainment, first broadcast in Fuji Television's “Noitamina” block in 2007. It is a spinoff of the earlier anthology series “Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales” and also has a media mix of manga and movies.

Set in a modernizing Japan, the story follows the nameless Medicine Seller in his travels around the country, selling medicine and using his Exorcism Sword to destroy mononoke—unnatural spirits created by negative human emotions. Once he learns the spirits’ Form (Katachi), Truth (Makoto), and Reason (Kotowari), he is able to fully exorcise them. This anthology TV anime consists of episode arcs: “Zashiki Warashi,” “Umibōzu,” “Noppera-bō,” “Nue,” and “Bakeneko.” Presented in breathtaking colors with a distinct Japanese style, this stunning avant-garde series has garnered fans from all over the world.

A stage play adaptation was held in 2023 and a film adaptation was announced for 2024, with more exciting projects to look forward to in the future.
