The Legend of Heroes: Trails is a series of story-driven RPG games developed by Nihon Falcom and available on various platforms such as PlayStation®, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. It has been adapted into anime, manga, novels, and more.

The Trails series is the third and most recent of the 3 sub-series that make up The Legend of Heroes franchise, with its first being “Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes” and “Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II” from the Dragon Slayer subseries. The animated TV show “The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War” premiered in January 2023.

The Trails series is set on the continent of Zemuria, in a society technologically advanced thanks to the mystical “orbal energy” and “orbments”, which led to the “Orbal Revolution”. Within this era of innovations is a gripping story involving nations and intricate geopolitical settings as well as inspiring characters with colorful personalities. While the story of each game can be enjoyed independently, they share the same charming universe and offer the chance to once again cross paths with the same beloved characters as they grow and change between games.
