SuperGroupies is releasing a number of fashion items with Rurouni Kenshin, also known as Samurai X.

Rurouni Kenshin is a manga series created by Nobuhiro Watsuki and has several adaptations, including an anime television series, OVAs, and live-action movies. The story takes place in the Meiji period in Japan and follows Kenshin Himura, a former legendary assassin known as Hitokiri Battosai. Kenshin eventually becomes a wandering swordsman, carrying a sakabatō (a reverse-blade sword) with the vow to never kill again.

In Tokyo, he meets interesting characters including a young woman named Kaoru Kamiya, and faces rivals from the Bakumatsu like Hajime Saitō, Makoto Shishio, and Enishi Yukishiro. The story revolves around Kenshin’s changing way of life; meeting and parting with many people, and finding a way to live in a new era.

Since 2017, a direct sequel manga titled Rurouni Kenshin: The Hokkaido Arc has been serializing monthly in Jump Square manga magazine. Live-action movies were released in North American theaters in 2016, starting with “Origins” and followed by sequels “Kyoto Inferno,” “The Legend Ends,” "The Final," and "The Beginning."
